Hi there,

Me & my 7 year old son play FA together and yesterday i mistakenly logged him in on my PC, while I logged in on the family pc.
soo.. lockout.

Ran the installer in repair mode. No solution.

I've since made my steam account public, linked the account to my FAF name. No solution.

Then, changed my username from knijnsel to knijnzel, through http://app.faforever.com/faf/userNeme.php
No solution.

Any suggestions?

For this to do, you needed 3 PCs while having two account, so switching back should be simple. If you are logged on family PC, he is on yours, then his PC is free.
Log in with his acc on his PC and then you can log in with your acc on your PC.
Simple.

The issue involved not three pc's but just two (mine & the family pc).
family pc -> I can log in. Kid cannot.
My pc -> He can log in; I cannot.

But you are saying, If I install the game on a third pc and log in with his account, then my pc should be freed?
Provided I find a third pc somewhere that I can temporarily install the game on, this should fix the problem. Installing a game on a new piece of HW is one hell of a solution though; is there an alternative?

you dont need to install the game, just FAF lobby and log in, every PC can handle that

I ran the lobby from my work laptop. checked accounts on both my & kids pc and everything is back to normal.

As to your question, 'And where was he logged before?', I dont get the question, exactly. I guess you think he was logged in elsewhere.
He has no own machine. It is possible he last played in his own name on the old E8400 I had before I got the new machine. I dont know for sure, whether he played under his own account the last few times I saw him play. That could also be me, while testing the new machine.

There is another option of steam linking both accounts. This will mean they can both log in on the same pc's.
