Can't log in to FAF anymore

My computer, for some reason, could not update the patch yesterday evening. It downloaded the new lobby file (125), but when it tried to install could not find the old lobby file (122). Searched my whole computer and couldn't find that file.

So I tried to "fix" it, mainly by copying a friend's FAF directory and replacing mine, and now I can't even get to the point where it begins the update - just an error message (attached).

I would like to try a Windows uninstall/reinstall via control panel, but can't even do that - get the same error I got when I first tried to update (also attached).

I'm kind of stuck. Resigned to playing FA on Steam, which isn't the same.
