Mumble Certificate

I had to do a whole system repair this weekend due to my HDD failing so I ended up having to reinstall everything. I can run FaF client and the games just fine but I seem to have hit an issue with Mumble. When I open mumble, then FaF client, it pops up a certificate error on mumble and won't join the FaF mumble server. I've never had this issue before and wonder if I did something wrong on my end? I am using Mumble 1.2.10 if that makes a difference, I couldn't find the 1.2.3 version listed in the walkthrough.

You can make a certificate via the setup wizard afaik

I followed the steps on making one but the error hasn't changed any. When FaF Client is launched the Mumble Client pops up a window that says "Wrong certificate or password for registered user. If you are certain this user is protected by a password, please retry. Otherwise abort and check your certificate and username."

I used the same name as my FaF account, and it never had me input a password during setup. Kinda lost as to what I did wrong...

Mumble requires that you make a certificate on first use. My guess is you made it once and forgot about it. You can just create a new one with the setup wizard (can be started from the mumble menu interface, you don't need to reinstall).

I have a certificate, the problem is the FaF Mumble server won't accept it. I can only guess that the certificate it has doesn't match my new one and I don't know how to get it to match so I can use the FaF Mumble server. I've created 3-4 now trying different spellings of my name but nothing has changed.

I have deregistered you on the mumble server.
Try again and we'll see if it works now.

I am using Mumble 1.2.10 if that makes a difference, I couldn't find the 1.2.3 version listed in the walkthrough.

It works! I'm making copies of my certificate to hide on my phone and laptop incase I have to reinstall again. Thank you all for helping me and getting me back into Forged Alliance.

I'm having the same problem, my certificate isn't working for the server, can you re-register me please?
