Using Windows 10 unable to adjust video from default setting

Anyone else having the problem, when adjusting the video to a higher setting the game freezes? I just want to be able to play the at a higher resolution than the defaulted settings. Thanks in advance.

I have a m8 who uses Win 10 ... His name is wilso

He can play at 1440 res on his 4k monitor, although he normally plays at 1080.

He tells me that under Win 10 he has to set the desktop fonts etc at the 100% setting or he loses his mouse pointer.

i play in win 7 compatibility mode and run as admin ( go into the FA directory to adjust the binary) do the same for the lobby.
Had the same issues but now it works like a charm
