Beetles OP after updates?

Postby Wesmania » 24 Aug 2015, 20:51

At some point in recent updates fire beetles started causing their explosion damage also if destroyed rather than detonated. As a result I had some games where a transport hovering over the ACU was killed by the flak and the beetles killed the ACU in return, and one where more hilariously, an ACU OCed the beetles and they ended up killing him.

I can't deny it's a LOT of fun blowing people up right now, but it surely invites discussion.

You could argue that if the beetles managed to get close enough to deal damage they should do so, no matter if they get killed or detonated. Maybe though only if they are currently not in a transport, because they could not be detonated from there, could they?

What else was changed exactly, they don't drop on the head of a moving ACU like they used to?

Thanks for the report. This was not an intentional balance change. If a balance change is not in the patch notes, it's not an intentional change and please post a bug report :)

The balance team has nothing to do with this, as Vee said.

I never said that was your fault or what so ever, i just think this is your duty to patch it, and take care of that not to happen again.
