Can't reset mail or register account

So i signed up to teh forum about 18 months ago and since went inactive.

I rejoined today but when i asked to get my password reset the system told me it can't find my mail address.
So i thought there was a migration or old accounts were deleted etc etc and I tried to register again. I was again denied as it said that the email address was already in use.

WTF

So I've registered with the same mail address (+ an alias) is it posible to get my original account either restored or hard deleted so i can just re register?
