Loss of sound in game

Hi all, my game sounds stopped working in a weird way

In game lobby sound works then suddenly stops

In game some sounds work, eg building completing, but others such as pings and ACU under attack, gun fire, explosions dont work

Very weird and I dont know what to try

Have obviously rebooted etc

Sound outside game is fine

I'm not sure but you seem to have similar problems as stated in this thread . I'm not sure whether it was solved or not, maybe it could help if someone replies to one thread but not the other.
