Ingame console closes

When I'm trying to use consolo ingame it just closes.
I press ` to open the console, it opens. It's completely black/grey (no clue if that's supposed to) and I see the cursor. Then I try to type and with the first press of a button console closes down. I repeat the process, same stuff.

I wanted to check up on other players since I've had a lot of laggy games lately but I can't get even one letter in.. Do I have to enable to type into console somewhere?

Tried to upload the gamelog and foreverlog but they're too large (yes I know I'm a noob). I'll try to upload a smaller one or a replay if you need me to.

No Idea about that console stuff, but you can bind ren_ShowNetworkStats ( or however the command was called ) to a hotkey in the F1 menu ingame.

Friend of mine figured it out.. He's seen this problem in some other game apparently and forgot to mention it right away.
When this stuff happens you type "a" in console where something like "à" will show up. Then you hit backspace and it doesn't close on you again.

So:
Type "a" in console, hit backspace, fixed.
