Screen blinks off and on again, sporadically.

Hi there. I recently had to reinstall Windows 10 on my Acer Aspire V5 laptop. I have never had a problem running SupCom, Forged Alliance, or FAF until the reinstall. After the reinstall, I've had a few issues. One of those issues is that if I close my laptop lid, it does not go to sleep properly, and Windows crashes. I'm listing that here in case it is related to this other bug I've found, regarding SupCom.

In both SupCom 1 and Forged Alliance, when I run any game, be it campaign or skirmish against bots or with others, the screen will blink off and then back on again once roughly every 15-30 seconds. This gets extremely irritating and also forces a deselect, so you can imagine that since discovering this I haven't dared try to run any games in FAF. I discovered the bug doing a replay of the SupCom campaign, and found it present in Forged Alliance as well.

My GPU is an nVidia GeForce 720M, which ran the game just fine on Medium fidelity presets before I reinstalled Windows. I have 4GB of RAM, again, no problem running the game before. Intel is my CPU and it also has Intel Integrated Graphics, but for games most programs use the GPU to run things.

Once again I am using Windows 10, and have never had a problem before reinstalling. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have the same issue when I use dual-screen. The only thing I do to fix it is alt-tab a few times, and the flickering goes away for me. Give it a try.
