Unable to register new account

Hello
I am trying to register a new acc for my friend.
After registering account with the client, nothing happens and we cannot login with the username and password.
I tried with 2 different email adresses.
No email confirmation arrives.

What should I do? And is there a way to register acc on website?

There seems to be a problem with system generated emails atm.

On a side note: you will not be able to log in with two separate accounts on the same computer unless both are connected to steam. This is to prevent experienced players to create new accounts in order to play with a low rating.
