Recent update failure

Hi. Have been using FAF for a while. Since the most recent update (a few days ago) I have not been able to play the game. This is what happens when I click the FAF exe file;
1. Game/lobby thing opens as per usual.
2. "A new update is available... etc"
3. Click yes.
4. Download begins.
5. At around 80 percent or so the download window disappears.
6. The FAF Setup then appears asking me if I want to repair or remove FAF.
7. Clicking repair does nothing as halfway through I get the message "This specified account already exists"

I have tried every possible solution including uninstalling and reinstall etc.

Could someone please help
