Outbound traffic blocked errror

Postby PlazmaCoko » 25 Mar 2016, 01:28

Hi. For 2-3 days I have been having this error. Sometimes it works, but most of the time FAF pops up this message. Is there a way to fix it?

Is your computer connected to internet via wireless ?
also, do you have any sort of firewal/antivirus with internet security ?

it looks that sometimes FAF can not access to the internet
also your ip changes from : 10.129.37.90:6112 to 192.168.2.42:6112 and others ports, wich makes me think that you have more then one way to access the internet...

Well, I have tried disabling Firewall completely (Windows Firewall) dont have other things and it didnt solve the problem.

Regarding the IP change, I dont have a static IP anymore, my ISP gives natted ips to their users and I changed ports in order to see if that would solve to problem.

well, but those address are private classes, so you do have a router/modem of some sort
even with your windows firewall disabled (wich I sugest you turn back on) you should check your modem router

I accessed router and went to port forwarding and added FAF and put port from: 6112 and port to: 6112 and checked the enable box while setting the port in FAF to be 6112 again and it didnt work. I also put Both: UTP and TCP protocols.

OK so trying to help out Taliebun with this same problem we got it fixed using one thing among the following (Not sure which):

Firewalls and AV off completely
FAF - Options - Settings - Game Port - -6112, make sure upnp is checked
Port forwarding on the router (Access your router by typing your default gateway IP into your web browser. Find that IP by using CMD prompt and typing ipconfig. The gateway will be under your currently connected wifi or ethernet device)

- Port forward UDP and TCP 6112
- Port forward UDP 9103

Restart FAF
IceDreamer
Supreme Commander

I tried doing the things IceDreamer listed and it didn't work for me. Is it possible that server needs to be restarted cause many people seem to be experiencing this problem in the last 2-3 days?
