Resolution win 10

Hi, i'm having trouble with changing the resolution on my computer. When i run the game it's set on a too small res, and if i try to change it the game freezes indefinitely. if i want to close it it turns grey and i have to restart my computer since it won't shut down.

now i can run the game in win 8 compatibility and it looks a bit better, but it only works in "windowed" mode which is too big for some reason.

i have also tried changing the preferred resolution in the prefs file to 1600, but it changes nothing for win 10.

wanted to add, i have no logs since i never got it to work correctly.

check if your windows defaulted to 150% text size for it, switch to 100% and try

don't run faf as administrator or in compatibility mode

Sadly, no. Regular text size. It ran on my computer fine when i had win 8.

Did you (re)make a profile in FA?

i have not. should i? why would that change something?

I don't know if W10 fucked up that profile or not.
Also; disable dual screen in case you have it enabled ingame.

I was having the same issue with win 10, getting a gray screen when attempting to change res to 1080. The solution for me (which I should have known) was to install the directx that is available in the game install folder, don't forget to reboot after the installation. Works like a charm now.
