In game audio does not work

Hello Everyone,

Since two days or so I am experiencing some problems with in game audio. Let me first give you the diagnoses and then tell you the attempts I have tried and did not work..

It starts at the FAF game lobby. I noticed that at the start, hovering over the ready check box or the settings gives some sound. Hovering over it for two or three times the sound is not longer working.

When the game starts, the sound works fine. Upon selecting the ACU for the first time, it gives a sound. Selecting the factory for the first time, gives a sound. However, selecting the ACU or a factory for the second time does not give any sound. The same holds for radars and other units (including the sound of a PD shooting at the ground).

I have checked possible solutions before posting (see /viewtopic.php?f=3&t=10875 and viewtopic.php?f=26&t=4611).

I have uninstalled skype and mumble is not running. I have changed the bit rate from 48Kbit/sec to 41Kbit/sec. I have disabled the HDMI audio output. I have cleaned the game settings cashes, logs, and reinstalled the client. I have deleted the game.prefs. All the previous did not fix the problem.

I have enabled the logs and started a game with sandbox setting (UID: 4635043). I have uploaded the log files. Note that the sound problem also happens with replays (like selecting an acu gives a sound for the first time only). same for factories and units..

If you havent tried already, try setting audio to stereo ( not 5.1 etc). Apart from that i have no idea on how to fix this, but this is one of the common issues, so hopefully someone else has some ideas.

Thanks every one. It seems that it is working now. The problem was resolved automatically after windows update.
