LAN Game // online Game

1. Is there some information/summary about what to do/avoid etc. if you try to play LAN only?

2. When i play online with three players from the same router with (DSL 50.000), what is the reason for connection aborts-someone got a clue
- with my 16.000 DSL i could play at least sandbox with no aborts. Now i got 50.000 and have abort in every second game. Has it something to do with thge upload cause i remember it was always told that FAF is an upload consuming game because of wreckage etc.
- in that issue: may fast Path be an option?

if you want to play a LAN only game with the faf balance, just launch forgedalliance from "C:\ProgramData\FAForever\bin" , one of the computers creates the game and the other will view it

to play with multiple computers connected to FAF within the same local network, just make sure to use different port on each one, also port forward each UPD on the router for each computer

LAN to WAN with multiple computers did not work when we tried about 1 month ago. We had to play different games.

Can anyone tell me:

What is the reason for problems playing the same game with more (lets say 3) participants from the same router if the DSL connection would make this possible?

Can i get this fixed?

If yes, HOW exactly?

I'm not 100% sure the stuff below is correct, but it should point in the right direction at least.
Due to the games design every player has a connection to every other player. For this they need to be reached on some port (from the outside) on the router, but they cannot use the same port. So each player on the local network needs to get some portforwarding assigned on the router ( default port is 6112 iirc, so you can just give them ports 6113,6114 etc).

Portforwarding to my understanding means that if you forward port 6113 to the ip-address 192.172.0.5 for example, that any data that was sent from the outside to your router on port 6113 is being sent to the computer with address 192.172.0.5 ( on the same port probably).

Maybe the best solution until faf fix issue with proxy upnp... is to get rid of faf when you want to have lan.

Just get an iso of the game, and all install same iso. Then just play like we did few years ago. was no issue. You wont have patch but you 'ill be able to play and that's what matter the more :)

Faf is almost completely separated from your original game installation, so no need to delete it (they only share settings and templates)

But just in case if you do want to install from iso, you will also need to get key gen, or some random key from internet just to install it, also well need to install 3599 patch so game well run without cd in cd-rom

Edit: ehh wait, why would anyone need to install anything if you already have game installed...
If you want to play with someone and nothing works may try hamachi
