C++ 2010 Runtime Missing

Installed FAF and logged in, then I got an error, saying that C++ 2010 Runtime is missing, even though it's not. Running on Windows 10, Steam version of FA. Tried reinstalling both FAF and Visual C++ runtime 2010 (x86) still I get the error. FAF opens but I can't do anything, all the tabs are blank, I can't even start a game.

EDIT: I tried installing the runtime from the link I got with the error, but it said that I have a newer version of it already installed.

I got the same problem. It happened after a Win10 automatical Update. I Got some errors the MSVCP100.dl and MSVCR100.dll missing after booting my PC. I fixed that, copied the both .dll files from my System32 to the SysWOW64 folder. But still FAF says, the Visual C++ 2010 is missing. I Cannot install Visual C++ 2010 again and cannot uninstall it.
It seems like all other programms on my PC are still runnning. Pls some guy help me. Cannot Post a Log, because i even cant enable it in Settings, FAF-Client crashes after warning.

I have the same problem. Everytime i try to open the link and download the version of runtime needed to fix this problem, it wouldn't let me complete the installation. The odd thing is that i even had that version of c++ 2010 runtime, yet it doesn't seem to recognize that it had been installed. Even trying to remove the newest version of Runtime doesn't seem to work. Reintalling FAF doesn't work as well.

Seems to be trouble with the uid.dll.

See if you can install the version here from Microsoft:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... st_x86.exe

If not we need to open an issue on github and maybe remove the dependency on that library, we have a new unique ID implementation on the way.

ENABLE THE LOG IN OPTIONS -> SETTINGS menu in the FAF client!

I'd LOVE to be able to launch the FAF client to do that, you know

Hi,
I found this solution that work for me :

- Uninstall both C++ runtime 2010 (x86) and C++ runtime 2010 (x64)

- then download the installer from microsoft website (I can't give the link there is a security on the forum that forbidd me to post)

- restart PC
