Issue double clicking to select multiple units

Recently about 2 weeks ago or so, I got an issue where if you double click on a specific unit (say an engineer or mass extractor), it will only select that one unit and will not select any others in a group, so if I click on 1 engineer when there is 10 equivalent engineers right next to it, it will only select that 1 engineer and refuse to select the other 9. If I do a drag across the screen (the box select), then it will select all the units. This can be replicated in FAF, SCFA, and in the first Supreme Commander. I reinstalled FA, FAF, and tried different mice and it still has the same issue. No mods on FAF of any type, or on SC and SCFA. This particularly occurred after I downloaded the new custom seraphim mission in the coop missions tab, but I'm not sure if this occurred a few days after or right when I downloaded the map.

This is probably not the issue but you can try playing with the double click speed in the mouse settings in control panel. If it is set too high you can get this behavior.

Unfortunately the issue persists, same as in the video no matter what settings I change. I can double click anything, but I can not double click to select multiple units.

Is your double click working, if you paused the game ?

if not, be sure you don't have any mods installed, play a game and doubleclick on some units.
then destroy your acu, end the game and post your "Game.log". (upload it somewhere or attach it here)

Maybe the game.log shows some errors related to your problem.

The double click works perfectly in any other game, but in SC or SCFA. Pausing it in game has the same results, only 1 unit can be double clicked at a time, as if the double click is completely dead. I just did an entire hard drive whip and reinstall of everything, including a reinstall of the operating system, and it still has the same issue. As I mentioned, this issue sporadically happened, because I used to have the double click, then all of a sudden one day, it was gone. I'm not sure what conditions caused that to occur, but even rolling back to a super old version of SCFA (years old) produces as before, the same results. The only thing I can really pinpoint is that its game issue related, not hardware or software because the double click works absolutely perfectly in any other game, at least, that's what I think. Let me know if anyone else has anymore ideas, I'm up for almost anything at this point (except another hard drive whip, that takes too much time). I will post you a log in a few hours when I can get in the game and finally update everything back to the current version.

I also can't get a game.log to form when I do a game against bots for example. How should I come about this when trying to get a game.log to form/post in my game folder?

The problem is solved. So recently something may of gone down with windows update, I can't be sure but it led to a resolution to mouse issue. A friend of mine had a similar issue in another game, and windowed mode would solve the problem. I would get the double click back until I set the resolution to 1920x1080. So because of the windows 10 issue, I ran the game in windows 7 compatibility, which solved the problem entirely. Thanks for the help before!
