Problems connecting

Hello,
So I used to play this a couple years back and wanted to start up again because its an awesome game. Problem is I am running into numerous problems and I feel like I have done everything I can to solve it.

My problems consist of one when I launch the game I get the error of no outgoing traffic, eventually after launching it a few times it will no longer give me the error. Up until the past couple of days, I could join a lobby but not be able to connect to everyone in the lobby. But as of the past couple of days, I connect to the lobby and after a few seconds I get kicked with the message saying the host has left but I am sure its just the connection dropping.

I have opened ports on my firewall in my antivrius as well as the firewalls in my modem. I have also tried turning off both firewalls to no avail. If I remember correctly faf has a proxy server over a year ago to solve this? Anyway any help would be greatly appreciated.
