Mouse / computer lag

I am not sure what to call this, but am having a lot of problems with mouse lag. Zooming in, selecting units - none of it works properly. I can be pounding the wheel of my mouse and nothing happens, same when i click to do stuff with units. e.g. i try to build mex with commander, i click on him, nothing happens i cannot select him. i click 8 times, i finally select him, i cannot then get him to do anything... Just happened out of the blue today, no changes to my laptop set-up etc. It also happens when i play vs. the computer... When i exit faf everything is normal, so not an issue with my mouse or PC. Basically makes the game unplayable, so interested to hear if other people have had this issue?

Actually think its a problem with graphics card. apparently issues with compatibility with Windows 10... It has cleared up today anyway
