game sound not working

Postby JMorten » 07 Sep 2016, 15:31

Hi,

I have a problem with my FAF installation, regarding the game sound.

First couple of minutes into a game/replay, everything is working fine. I can hear the game music, the unit sounds and the menu sounds. But at a certain point of time, the music stops and I can only hear some of the unit sounds. The menu sounds seem to not be affected. Sometimes the soundtrack comes back and always starts with the same theme, but shortly after that it is gone again.

I have used both speakers and gaming headset, with the same result. Other games and audio-applications are working fine.

I don't have any kind of music mod installed.

I post my logs below, any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Are your intro movies black? If so, reboot, go into bios and disable sound. Save and reboot. Start fa. Quit fa. Reboot. Go into BIOS. Enable sound. Save and restart. Start FA.

Congratulations. You have succesfully fixed your FA sound.

Thanks, I used the forum search but didn't come across this thread. I will see if it helps and report!

Edit: I installed Realtek HD Audio driver R2.79, the pc was restarted two times in the process. Now everything seems to be working again!! Thanks a lot!!
