Unable to download or use the faf lobby [SOLVED]

Aight, so i recently moved to a new place, with a new modem and all of that jazz.

However, since moving, I have been unable to download files from the FAF website (http://www.faforever.com/downloads/) and, when using the lobby (installer provided from friend via dropbox) I am 9.9/10 times unable to host or join a match, and on the 0.1 times that it does work, I am still unable to connect to certain players.

I have forwarded the 6112 port via udp on the new modem, but this has not fixed the issues.

Most venerable moderator of my heart, Deering-san, has requested that I make an effort post and give logs.

Your forever.log doesn't indicate that you actually tried to host or join a game. Unfortunately game.log doesn't carry timestamps so we could cross-check.

Can you do this and repost an updated log? That is: Host games and join games, please.

Hi, that is the issue.

When I attempt to host a game, the splash screen with map preview and mod selection comes up. Upon hitting Host Game, the splash window closes and nothing happens. Nothing initialises and thus there is no relevant log information to contribute.

i did manage to get into some games last night, and one failed game (connection issue with Alexandrosthepat), I will attach the updated logs. Maybe they will contribute some information, but the problem is that the games are not starting.

Additional information: When I open the FAF client, I can instantly tell whether or not the client will not let me join or host games by examining the COOP Lobby tab. If none of the missions arcs are available in the selection window (UEF, Aeon, Cybran, FA ,Custom,etc) then the lobby will not run SC as part of hosting or joining a match. I have attached an image of the coop tab for reference.

In addition, downloading the installer .msi from the faf server always fails. This is not a lobby connection, perse, as far as i can see, but an overarching problem with my connection to FAF as a whole.

Update:

This issue is now understood and resolved. The issue lies with the ISP not connecting customers on the same network. Tested games via mobile tethering work fine (though proxied), and nothing can be done to resolve the ISP problem.

Yeah. Bigpond Cable.

It doesn't seem to like connecting to certain people on the same network, and only establishes proper lobby and server connections for faf (to the faf server) 1 out 100 times.

Been through udp, router settings, everything. Has to be a problem on telstras end, and no chance of getting that rectified, haha.
