its very simple to change the language to german. Open your game.prefs file and look for the line
Code: Select all
    language = 'EN',

change it to
Code: Select all
    language = 'DE',

the file is located in C:/Users/*yourusername*/AppData/Local/GasPoweredGames/Supreme Commander Forged Alliance/

and everything in the game will be german. The lobby will still be english though.

@BlackHoros,

i am translating the missing faf strings inside the game at the moment.
The development version of the game is already full translated into german.
I also added all missing tooltips inside all options.
Unit and Modmanager is also translated.

If you dont want to play the development version, you can wait for the next patch. (or the patch after, i am not sure)
Then you can enjoy the game in full german :)

[edit] Could you do me a favor and change the "Subject" inside your first post from " QUESTION LANGUAGE" to "question for german language" ?

on top of that, it may be possible to find a distribution of supcom that contains the german localization - the advantage of that over faf is that it might also provide translated audio - since the sound files are so large faf only distributes text translation, so this way you could get more. (and since faf patches any existing localization you might have, you get the best of both worlds)

hope this helps
