Cant make/join games [SOLVED]

Cant make/join games

Hi everyone

Ive recently re-installed FAF and am using a steam-downloaded SC:FA folder. I can launch the FAF lobby, chat, and see available game lobbies, but I cannot make or join any. When i open task manager, it says SC:FA is running, and if i attempt to make or join another game lobby, the FAF main lobby says I can't make another lobby since SC:FA is running.

Server logs say
[ping: None->


Restarting the FAF main lobby does not fix it.
Can someone help please? Thank you

delete c:/ProgramData/FaForever entirely. Then try to join/host a game again.

If that doesnt work check if the game path is set correctly in the client.

If that also doesnt work: try downlords client.

I've just tried all 3 of those. none of the given methods worked. Downloaded the newest version of downlords and reinstalled it again to see if it was an issue with installation but no dice.

Can you start SC:FA via steam? if yes do you have a local profile? if no you might wanna create one.

nevermind, I just managed to fix it myself. Apparently I needed to set BOTH faf and SCFA (the exe file) to be run as administrator on startup by configuring its properties. This fixed it
