so, someone reported that in the lobby when adding an AI, changing the team number, makes players to loose connection to that lobby
also, if you host a lobby, add an AI, and change the team number, the lobby disappears from the PLAY tab
I tested, and it was repetable

You don't even have to change the teams. Just adding the AI causes players to lose connection. We were completely unable to play games using the FAF client yesterday.

The workaround I've found is to skip the FAF client entirely: launch the game from c:/programdata/faforever/bin/forgedalliance.exe. Following that, start a game and share the ports/IP address with friends to have them join in. Ran perfectly.

Also happens when switching to ready, or when changing Positions

I have the same issue. It's been happening since last night (18/01/17). But only in a lobby with my friend, not in lobbies without AI players.

A friend and I are having the same issues as described above. We first started having this issue on Wednesday (01/18/2017). The workaround posted by Sanctusx2 seems to work as a temporary solution.

Remember to change the port to something usable when hosting a game using this method.

I have the same issue. I can host the game fine, my friend joins the game fine also. I can add AI, but as soon as I switch the AI's team number it says my friend has timed out. My friend says that to him it looks like the lobby is still the same even after he is timed out according to my chat box. He said he can still use the chat box but could not do anything else, such as switch slots, after it said he was timed out. The issue started as of the recent patch (Jan 18th, 2017).

This was supposedly fixed, I did the testing for this too and it worked fine then? When is the last time you tried?

I tried yesterday and it didn't work. I tried again today and now it seems to work. The thing I changed was that I didn't put a password on the lobby this time and just kept it friends only.

A friend and I tried to play a game against some AI tonight and it would drop him every time I put an AI in the match. We tried the older 0.12 and 0.12 pre3. Friends-only and public + password. Reboots, port forward checks, etc. Deleted programdata FAF directory and downloaded all that from scratch. Nada.

The game lobby on the host end says the other player lost connection. The player sees the "host has lost connection". Whenever an AI is added. Ugh. :) If I add AIs before he joins, he can't even see that I'm hosting a game.
