12.1 Update will not get recognised

Hello, i have made this account specifically for this thread, maybe more in future. I am currently having issues with this new update. My client simply refuses to accept it has been updated. The installer once downloaded, continues its process of updating without issue. But upon logging into FAF, patch needs to be downloaded again, and then fails to install, as it has already been installed. Repeat forever.

I am currently unable to use FAF due to its seeming inability to recognize its update. Any help would be welcome.

Hi,
having something similar: FAF prompts to download new version but nothing happens. Download is not even starting.
Trying to download directly from FAF download page but 0.12.1 is not yet online.
Not possible to host/join a game with 0.12.0 (no game displayed, nothing under "Create Custom Game" tab).

Currently under fixing I guess?

wow, download just completed now! But it took so long and without any progress bar that I thought it was not doing it.
Apprently OK now.

Am having the same problem. I have tried using the lobby update and manually downloading and installing the msi. I have tried reverting to 0.11.60 and trying it's installer.

UPDATE: problem solved.

Manual download of 12.1 https://ci.appveyor.com/project/Sheeo/c ... /artifacts solved the issue after uninstalling FAF.

As far as we know the updater is working fine.

There should be a progress bar but it doesn't always show up. So just wait for the installer to launch after accepting the update prompt.

Had this issue. If you log out, then relaunch your client, you'll see a progress bar if you accept an update while at the login screen.
