Black screen when starting the game using FAF

Hey,

So when i launch the game through FAF i get stuck on a blackscreen with only the cursor showing. Doesn't matter if i try to join a game or if i host one. I do not use any mods (which i know about, dont know if FAF has something by default). I have opened the 6112 port in my router. I dont have any firewall blocking the game or FAF. I have tried to reinstall the game and the FAF client without success. I know everything worked in the past so i cant figure it out why it's not working any longer...

Any suggestions on how to solve this issue?

You could try running the game in windowed mode (either my starting it offline and changing the video setting or by editing your game.prefs file)
location of the exe file to run FAF patched FA offline:

Unfortunately running the game in Windowed-mode does not improve anything. Still stuck at the same backscreen. So just a thought that came to my mind, could it be that I'm missing some kind of program like dot.net framework or similar?

What exactly are you trying to launch?

Try to launch a basic game on some of the common maps, (setons, isis, open palms etc.)

If that fails the same way, ensure you don't have any mods enabled -> Vaults -> mods -> Manage UI mods

Try to rename "C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\Game.prefs" file to something else and see if it works, if it doesn't just rename it back.

If you don't have mods and it fails. Remove game data -> options -> clear -> game files

If it still fails delete "C:\ProgramData\FAForever" folder completely, maybe even reinstall the whole game again, clear "My Games\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\Mods" folder too
