Can't Join any 1v1 ladder games

I can join the chat, watch replays, create my own custom game and join other multiplayer games and play with no problems but when I select the 1v1 ladder matchmaker it just says finding a match forever. Let it go as long as 20 min. Asked in game chat and people said cancel and retry after a couple minutes if you don't get a match. Well tried that for like an hour ending the search every 3-4 min. Still nothing. Tried the default client and the Downlords version. Same thing with either one. I did see an earlier post with other people with 0 ranking but it said it had been fixed. So dunno where to go from here. Any help is appreciated.

You cannot find any games because you cannot find any players:

I didn't read all 6 pages but it sounds like I'm screwed. Spent about an hour and a half trying at prime time in the evening....so new players just don't even bother trying to play ladder? Who has time to sit around for hours clicking join match and never getting a game. How is FAF gonna get any new players?

Best time for playing tends to be around 2000 CET since the European player base is larger compared to US/AUS. So yeah if you try to play when everyone in Europe is sleeping it might get hard to find a laddergame.
