Supcom only works without crashes if I disable my soundcard

Hi guys,

Supcom only works without crashes if I disable my soundcard. Set the sound card to stereo did not change that.

I also bought a external soundcard from creative that only allows stereo but the game crashed after some time. Also when I close the game, it crashes with internal and external sound card.

But as I said: no crashes at all with disabled soundcards.

What to do? In some forum posts its said that the installation path could be the reason? But why then the sound issues?
I tried standard and other installation path but I only have one SDD so I can not switch the disc.

When I had the install path problems it crashed triing to play a soundfile or something, might be that you disable that part of the code with no sound device.

Try one or a combination:

1) Disable EAX if your Creative card supports it
2) Disable immediate mode under playback device properties
3) In recording devices, enable/disable Stereo Downmix.

Hope this helps!

If you install the add-on card, make sure you disable the built-in card in the bios.

Oh and lastly, update your drivers!

I guess it was my super fast SSD? Just installed the game on a external USB disc and everything is going fine now.
