Unable to connect Steam account

Hey guys,I know this has probably been answered in the past and its buried deep in the boards but I don't have time to go all the way back and search.

What I need to know is why I am unable to Link my steam account to my FAF account.

Every time I try to log-in I get the 500 internal server error. does anyone know of a work-around or something of the like?

I just verified that the Steam Link system works - make sure your steam profile is set to public.
