Python error message upon starting up client

So ever since I updated my client I've been getting this weird error message. I looked everywhere to try and find a solution to no avail. Found solutions for other problems though, so it wasn't entirely bad. Anyway, I got around it for the most part by using Downlords client, however I can't use themes or a few other things due to not being able to use the normal client.

try using the python client without your theme
if it is the theme that breaks it then contact the theme maker so he can fix it
if the client doesn't run without the theme then please post the entire forever.log so one of the devs can take a look at it

Yeah, I don't even have them installed and it still has the error. However, how do I go about finding the log for the error?

Going through what you said, there is only one log file and it belongs to the downlord client. No faforever.log or anything else, and I can't even go into the settings in the normal one to show the other logs. If the only log I have can help, I'll link it here. https://pastebin.com/8ksuyjQS

Which client version, which OS?

Client is version 0.12.5, I think? And Windows vista.

0.12.5 is an ancient version, please upgrade to 0.14.0 or 0.16.0.

Please forgive me, I was being stupid and thought that was the version. I checked the forums and thought the post that had that version listed was talking about the latest version. All I know is that it was either 0.14.0 or 0.16.0, but I can't check for the exact version number because the client won't even start up because of that error. I feel so stupid for giving you guys the wrong information.

Hi,

you can check the version by going to your Client install directory (Default: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Forged Alliance Forever") and checking the file "RELEASE-VERSION" in the "res" folder.

But it seems like you are trying to run a client version that is missing required DLL's for QtWebEngine. That may be a mistake we made in packaging one of the preview versions and shouldn't happen in any released version. So please download and install the newest version - https://github.com/FAForever/client/rel ... -win32.msi
