Problem loging in !

Postby pastrychef » 18 Nov 2018, 12:55

My old computer crashed and lost my login info. So i created a new account with my new computer. Then i tried my current email with my old account and it was the right mail so i tried to retreve my old account. (should have done that in the first place).

Then i tried to log in but it said "failed to calculate your unique ID(part of a smurf prevention system)."

Im not a smurf just was a bit desperate to play. Thankfull for help.

It is very likely this happens due to your antivirus software deleting the faf-uid.exe file.
If this has happened, please add an exception and restore the file.
The file can also be restored by installing the client again.

Please continue to use your old account. What's your new one?

I reinstalled FAF but the faf-uid.exe file keeps showing up in quarantine in the antivirus program.
I restored the file and made exception for FAF, but same messige keeps coming up.

My new account is "Simon74", its linked to email : --------------------- (see edit)

appreciate the help

EDIT (by geosearchef): pls don't post your email publicly, I see it in the db

I will ban your new account.
If you want to change your name you can do that once per month on the old account.

It's pretty certain that this message is caused by a missing/inaccessible faf-uid(.exe) file. Are you completely sure it is there? If yes, then pls make sure again ;) and post a client log (https://wiki.faforever.com/index.php?ti ... cal_Issues).
