it seems they can only fire backwards - every time a boat is in front of my acu the torpedoes fire and hit the ground. you can see in this replay (i get the upgrade after i bring my acu back to my base - i try attacking cruisers and can't fire while facing them)

you're right, the firing bone is hinky or something. When you walk forward your ACU tilts forward, and the torps curve into the ground. Walking backward or to the side lets the torps turn fast enough to avoid hitting. What the heck happened there?

I have managed to reproduce the problem in 3603 and 3618

When you load on a transport it screws up the torpedo launchers firing bone, causing it to shoot directly downwards rather than forwards.

I'm too novice to know how to fix this. I guess the pose data for loading onto a transport and getting off is messed up somehow.

I have confirmed that it's the loading and unloading animations that are at fault. By deleting them from the units.scd the commander will just show no animation at all (And toss an error in the log). When he unloads, the torpedo launcher is still in the correct position and fires forward.

We need someone who can edit the SCA's to change the pose bone to either not mess with the torpedo firing bone in the load/unload, or put it back to its proper position in the unload.

The cybran acu looks also a bit "torn apart" after the unfold animation. :lol:
