Client keeps getting stuck on "reading file list"

Hi guys, having a recurring problem since the latest client update over the last few weeks.

When I try to start or join a game, it occasionally (maybe 1/4 of the time?) gets stuck on 'reading file list' and doesn't go away. When this happens, the game will still launch, but I immediately see that the launching screen UI is the 'old' style and when the game starts, it immediately desyncs and can't be played.

I haven't been able to figure out if there is anything that causes the problem. Sometimes I just try again or close the client and open it again and it starts working again. Sometimes not though. What log files would be useful for diagnosing this?
