Unwanted Russian text in game chat.

Sometimes when I try to chat during a Supreme commander game it comes up in Russian text rather than English text. I then can't send English messages for the entire game.

It seems fairly random. Maybe it is to do with a host setting at game launch.

Any suggestion how I can set the chat text back to English during a game ?

You probably hit the shortcut to switch the language by accident. It is a windows thing, not supcom. I think the shortcut is alt+shift by default, but I could be wrong. The permanent fix is to disable/uninstall the russian keyboard configuration in the windows settings.

shift-alt lets me toggle it back to English so now I know this I can get it back to English if it ends up in Russian.
