Cannot Link FAF to Steam "Incorrect Login" [SOLVED]

Hey all,

Go this issue when attempting to link my newly created FAF client account to Steam.

It simply tells me my Steam login is "incorrect".

If I deliberately enter in a wrong password, it tells me so.
I am using the correct password and Steam user name.

On the correct PW screenshot, pressing the "Sign in" doesn't do anything.

I cannot login into my FAF client because my account isn't linked with Steam.
And I cannot link my FAF account with Steam.

So I cannot even get past the FAF client initial login.

Please can anyone help?

As germanicianus said on the steam thread,

Try another browser (with a clean profile, e. g. Firefox and without blocking any cookies).

Switch browser to some new one and try this.

EDIT: since you are now linked, i'll assume it works now

Sorry for late reply, I did get it working in the end.

The recommendation for another browser did work. Used Google Chrome.
