BLACK SCREEN

Hi all,

When iam starting online game i can see the entire map, but when camera moves closer to commander instead of map i see black screen allowing me to open main menu or pause game, keeping all interface buttons active.

Please advise what i should provide you with to solve the issue or if there is any guide to close the case.

Just one day before ive played a few games without a single lag.

run the game outside of faf -> open the chat window via ENTER -> move the window a bit -> close the game -> try again in faf

I have the same problem. Just installed the game new and wanted some fun.
I just tried what keyser said and it really worked... for me.

After 4 Hours work came the answer from keyser. Can I curse now? Or I start crying. Why is this working????

Ive had same problem when the game starts after cutscene it crashes but runs in the background, when i go to the desktop and back it stays black. ive tried running the game outside of FAF and now it crashes at first start and tried coop single player it runs with no issues then crashes randomly. ive also tried reinstalling supreme commander on steam and the FAF client with no luck. ive moved from windows 7 to windows 10 enterprise so i thought that was the problem at first but now others have shown the same issue. my friends works on coop FAF with no issues as of yet

RedConscript, How did you try to start Supreme Comander?

Keyser´s answer is quite short and I didn´t see through it too at the first attempt.
You have to start Suprime Comander over Steam not with FAF-Client. Here the Step to step what you need to do again written out.
1. Close FAF-Client and Game
2. Start SupremeComander normal with Steam
3. Create a normal game against bots
4. Open Chatwindow
5. Click on the Chatwindow and move it in around the screen. For example at a circle.
6. Close the Game
7. Start FAF-Client
8. Create a Game with FAF-Client

This worked for me and I hope it works for you too.
