Hello all.

I use the 1v1 matchmaking quite often, but I get errors.
The game starts, I get the "connection established" and mathchmaking thing. A little box pops up in the top left corner, which I cannot drag or fully see, but I infer it says launch failed( I see unch failed). An ok button sometimes appears. When I exit the game via task manager or closing it(alt tab+ click on icon /close window) it reports the game as a loss. If I wait long enough it says "host left" or something like that(in the faf game). Note that this does not allways happen, but I seem to crash more when playing aeon(conspiracy? or just me being crazy?).

I realized this text pops up but I never saw it.

Edit: It just crashed again ^^^^ was exactly the same.

Thanks in advance, and tanks(I wish you many tanks. Typos...gotta roll with em) to Zeropilot for making this. Supcom 2 made me think the original was trash as well. Glad to be wrong. :D

You need init_faf.lua to start any game. Do you have it in C:\ProgramData\FAForever\bin\ ?

Can you paste what you have in
c:\ProgramData\FAForever\fa_path.lua ?

No related.

I don't see why it cannot find your init_faf.lua if it's there.

Could it be that the other person is pressing cancel? This is what I thought at first, but it happens too often for it to be that, and it counts as a loss for me.

No. Your message is telling that you miss a file.

You should not be able to play any game, ranked or custom, if that file is missing.

Are you able to play any game ?

I can create a custom game and start it. Just tested vs an ai. Loads normally, built my factory then quit.
