Enable Debug Tools for Online Created Games

Postby The Mak » 30 Sep 2012, 17:37

I am trying to debug the conflicts between mods through the online game creation. Is there a way to setup parameters when running an online game to enable some of the debugging tools (at least creating a log)?

The reason I ask is because when running a local game through 'Forged Alliance\binFAF\ForgedAlliance.exe' on my machine the conflict does not show up, only when running a game through the online client (Create Custom Game, double click on Forged Alliance Forever). When running the game locally, no conflicts show up. When running the game through the online client, it locks up (UI is unresponsive).

So is there a way to enable some debug tools for the online game creation?

The binFAF folder is obselete. Delete it.
It's probably AZ_UI. You need to edit a single file to solve it.

Thank you for the quick help (and all the work you have put in, almost a year :D  :o )

Unfortunately, I am still not seeing the log. It should be where I had installed FAF (C:\Forged Alliance Forever - Lobby), but the log does not show up. I see debug.log, fa.log, FAFInstaller.exe.log but none of these were created or modified today when trying to run a game.

The option is enabled under the lobby (Options Menu, Settings, Save game logs is checked). I had tried restarting FAF and then try a game, but still no log (both successful in loading and with the mod in question enabled).

The mod I am having trouble with is IMBA Mod v4. Whether it is set alone or with the other 25 mods that I have enabled it causes the same issue, only when creating a game through the FAF lobby.
