Overly large forever.log

Postby ZenTractor » 28 May 2015, 11:24

Hi,

I got a 'low disk space' notification from windows. This is odd, since I had just yesterday deleted a few games to free up space.

After searching around as to the problem, it turns out that forever.log is 16.9 gigabytes. Is it safe to just delete it?

The last thing that I was doing in FAF was several hours ago. I was watching a live game, 4 players vs 4 sorian AI on burial grounds. The game paused after 20ish minutes, as if it had frozen, but I could still scroll around and select things. None of the units moved, and projectiles were paused in mid-air. I quit out of it, then closed the FAF client.

the Replay.log is here: http://pastebin.com/hdr9A3hY
I'd submit forever.log, but all of my text editors refuse to open it.

I just now got another low disk space notification, after deleting a few things to make room. Looking at the running processes, FAF is still going, using a whole virtual core. So apparently it's been writing logs since after I closed it.

If you zip the log, it will most likely become tiny and you can attach it for the tech people to go through

Thanks for the quick response! I zipped it up before I deleted it, and it went down to 58 mb. It hasn't come back yet, but I'll keep an eye out and try to catch it if it does so I can get a readable log.
