t3 arty can't fire on to ledge

Maps to reproduce on: Badlands, Bloodthrone.

This can really turn a game. Drop some t3 AA on a ledge and you now own the ledge for the rest of the game. Your opponent cannot drop on the ledge because of AA, so only other ways are t3 arty and TML (or distance build PD). Build TMD and ledge is yours because t3 arty won't fire onto a ledge.

It's been known for > 4 years. No one bothered to fix the map yet.

Doesn't Goodlands fix that problem with ledge?

errm "thermo 16 player" is probably thermo ultimate. What you forget here is that the map was never intended to be played with 16 players... It has the dynamic spawn script and the amount of spawn points is only that high to allow flexibility (i.e. you can play 2v2 crazyrush on both plateaus and this was actually the only intention for these spots. On normal thermo games, the hills are banned anyway and thus its not a problem on this map.). If you want to know how it works, check the link in my signature.

All "normal" thermo versions are included in the map (just leave the spots on the plateau open and dont put a player there). But I agree with biass, I won't fix the map either (even though thermo gets played, I just don't want to play it myself).

It's multiple maps.

If the map is the problem, this problem will continue to grow, because people will continue to make maps and not do whatever special thing they need to do. Can we fix this programmatically? Edit the code used for targeting instead of each map? Then, even future maps will be "fixed."

feel free to do it
last time i checked aim calculation was engine side, you would need to write your own implementation in lua and then override the old one

It's been done. MuzzleVelocity is increased by 2 in develop, will drop next patch.
