Mark special games in the replay vault

Suggestion: add a field to the replay vault so that tournament games and other "special" games (for example, games that have been casted by a prominent caster) can be labeled as such and more easily found.

For example, adding a text field, that can only be edited by admins, where the admins could write things like "tournament king of open palms 2017 game 2 of 32" or "gyle cast no. 77"

then we could search the replay vault for specific things. for example, we could search for all tournament games between Feb 2017-July 2017. It would be a way to preserve FAF history.

I don't think this would take a lot of technical effort to implement the feature but obviously it would take some effort to maintain, especially if someone is going to go back and label games from past tournaments. the community could contribute there (basically a few people would volunteer to go find the IDs associated with replays from the past tournaments etc. and pass that info on to the admins who could mark up those games--I am not volunteering the admins to spend their time doing that).

Needs a db layout change, client change, moderator client change. There are probably other issues that developers should spend their time on more worth it. The majority of FAF users doesn't use replays.

The other issue with this suggestion is that mods and admins don't have the time to deal with that and there is no permissions system yet allowing a specific group of people access to only a specific feature (like managing maps only, settings those replay titles manually, ...)

This is a cool idea in concept though.
Having a tag and category db table (so you don't have to modify existing tables) that you could add replay id's linked with a category id, with a friendly name of say 'tournament' in the category table. Allow people to search replays with the 'tournament' tag.
But then you'd need other functionality for tournaments which doesn't exist that would automatically add the tags so you don't have admin overhead...suddenly its a big piece of work that wouldn't get used as much as the man hours cost.
