Upgrading mex/facs/shields and hp increase

Do you think the game would be improved by gradual increase of HP as you build things? Like a T1 mex will gradually increase from 600 to 3000 than just a jump once its finished. You could do the same with factories and shields too.

Any modders that could do this and do any modders know if this is possible?

I dont understand, while building the health is increasing continuously

He means when you are upgrading a mex, for example, it's health should continuously rise to the health of a T2 mex as it's being upgraded.

I don't see much point in changing this. Having it grow as it's upgraded makes a bit more "realistic" sense, but right now changes to the game are at a premium, and I think this would take a good bit of modding, if its even possible. And then you have to account for what would happen if the upgrade gets cancelled, etc. What would this add to the game? The change isn't worth the effort, imo.

I just wanted to have some non balanced based discussion about what could improve the game. Any other little ideas anyone got that could add polish?
